I prefer to refer to myself in 3rd person.
Kristin grew up in Owensboro, KY with lots of corn fields and little theatre. From marching band to community and school theatre to her living room, she found every moment to perform despite the time of day or willing audience. Her family constantly made the arts a big part of her home life with musical movie binge-watches, Sirius XM On Broadway, impromptu reenactments of Disney movies, and so much more that it wasn’t a surprise when she decided to major in Musical Theatre Performance and receive her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2016 from Nothern Kentucky University.
After graduating college, she maintained a home base in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has performed with a multitude of theatres on the community and professional level in the greater Cincinnati area. She has spent her time expanding on her craft, growing as a performer, learning, and finding new confidence in herself and her abilities.
She is most thankful for her time in Cincinnati because it brought her, her husband Matt, and two fur babies Kuzco and Foxy. All 3 incredibly supportive as she splits her time with them in Cincy and apart from them in New York. She wouldn’t be half the performer or person she is without the constant encouragement from her husband.
Oh RIGHT! I almost forgot, she also owns her own small business, Crown & Cape Events! She stepped into the role at this character event company after performing for them for 2 years. Getting to spend every day trying to find new ways to bring magic and joy into the lives of people but especially children, is truly her biggest goal in life. Finding a way to do that through performance and Disney characters is a dream come true!
It has taken her a long time to be where she is at and is still constantly working towards loving herself, having confidence in her talent, and finding new ways to help others through their own struggles. One day, she hopes to create a safe space for performers of all ages to just be ARTISTS. To be the person and to have a theatre that accepts, loves, and builds up all performers regardless of where they are at in their journey. The arts should be a place of love and acceptance.
